The LSOP

The first tournament of the new Latin Series of Poker (LSOP) will be launched in August 2009 in beautiful Panama City, Panama. This tournament will be the first of many exciting events held in Latin America destinations including major cities in Costa Rica, Peru, Panama and Venezuela. Requests from other heavily populated poker destinations have created the option for smaller circuit events as well. The LSOP recognized the need to create a major tournament series in Latin America. With thousands of new online poker players emerging everyday and massive interest in poker throughout these countries, the LSOP was born with the intention of creating a tournament series rivaling some of the best in the world.

Thanks to our strategic sponsor´s running online qualifying satellites, players from across the globe will be flying in to play the inaugural event. The event has attracted major superstars in the poker world as well. Kenna James, T.J. Cloutier, Young Phan, James "KrazyKanuck" Worth, Barbara Enright, Leigh, Amir Vahedi, Marsha Waggoner, Kato Kaelin, Sam Simon.

To accomplish this goal, the LSOP has hired some of the best names in the industry to ensure excellence in design and ongoing support for the LSOP. The tournament Director is Warren Karp, formally T.D. at the WSOP 2003/2004 who has since run events worldwide. Warren is known for some of the best structures in the industry and runs events like he was playing in them. He follows TDA guidelines and is known for his honesty and integrity.

Having Warren spearhead this operation with the many years of experience in the industry he brings along with him the knowledge and expertise to make the LSOP a grand success. He knows virtually everyone in the industry which promises to bring the world to the LSOP. Further, he brings along with him the best floor staff, the best dealers and the highest caliber of tournament knowledge.
